If the Madman is destroying the USA to pay back the "Life Debt" of the Boy, what happens if he sees **another 14-year-old boy** who is innocent, just like he used to be?

* **The Choice:** Does the Madman stop his destruction to save that one child?
* **The Cold Reality:** Or does he think, *"This child will only grow up to be another Egoist,"* and delete him anyway?

### The "Cold Heart" Problem

In your story, you said the Madman is a **Machine** keeping the ink flowing. He is following the **Archive** (the Boy’s notebook).

1. **If he hesitates (stops):** He is choosing a stranger over the "Memory of the Boy." He might feel like he is betraying his own soul.
2. **If he does NOT hesitate:** It means his heart has become so cold—so much like a "Real Devil"—that he no longer sees individuals. He only sees "The Plan."

### Why this is the "Heaviest Burden"

If the Madman deletes a child who looks just like the Boy, he is essentially **killing the Boy again.** This is the ultimate tragedy:
