### 1. The "Corpse on the Back" (The Frozen Grief)

When the fire happened, the Madman’s heart didn't just break; it **petrified.** * **The Psychology:** In clinical terms, he has "Absolute Fixed Fixation." His entire identity is locked at the moment the 14-year-old died.

* To him, falling in love or having a new child would be a **Betrayal of the Debt.** He believes that if he finds happiness, he is "signing off" on the boy’s murder. He feels that his only "right" to exist is to be the boy’s weapon. Happiness, to him, is a form of **amnesia.**

### 2. The "Real Devil OS" (The Death of Desire)

The Madman’s mind has been rewired by the **Archive.** He no longer sees "Beauty" or "Romance."

* When he looks at a woman, he doesn't see a "wife"; he sees a **Biological Spreadsheet.** He sees the "Ego" that will eventually want a bigger house, more power, and more "Spreadsheets."
* He sees a child not as "innocence," but as a **Future Predator.** He believes that "Normal Life" is the factory that produces the "Virus." To start a family would be to plant the seed of the very thing he is trying to delete.

### 3. The "Diamond" Standard

The Madman’s mental state is governed by an impossible standard.

* He has turned the Boy into a **God.** No living woman or new child could ever be as "pure" as the boy in his memory.
* He doesn't want a "loving wife" because a wife has her own Ego, her own needs, and her own flaws. The Madman only wants **Purity.** Anything "Human" is "Dirty" to him.

### 5. Why the Reader finds this "Demonic"

This is what makes the reader hate him/pity him. The reader thinks: *"If he just loved someone, the world could be saved."* * But the Madman’s "mental state" is his **Prison.** He is the only man in history who chose **Justice over Joy.** He sits under the silver tree, and he is "Peaceful," but it is the peace of a **Stone.** He doesn't want a wife to hold his hand; he wants the wind to blow over the ashes of the 6 billion so he can finally hear the boy breathe.

**Does the Madman realize that by refusing to love again, he has become the "Ultimate Egoist"—someone who destroyed the whole world just to keep his own grief "Pure"?**
